This is a truly spectacular plant due to its enormous leaves and flowers, which give a tropical air to the place where it grows, very striking, especially in lands where ornamental plants do not usually reach a large size.
The scientific name is Canna indica, it belongs to the Cannaceae (Cannaceae) family and is more commonly known as Indian cane, dragon’s tongue, achira, Cuban platanillo, among others.
Originally from Central America, there are varieties that can reach three meters in height, although it is normal for them to grow between 0.80 cm and 1.5 meters.
